米罗堡矗立于Grézillac村庄优质的石灰质黏土山坡上，离历史古城SAINT EMILION圣爱美隆仅15公里。18 世纪中期，米罗堡的第一代庄主－波旁王朝的后裔们在波尔多定居，邀请了当时著名的建筑大师维克多路易为他们在Grézillac 村设计建造城堡。

1763 年，这位新古典主义建筑大师维克多路易(Victor Louis)在他 42 岁的时候设计并修建的。维克多路易可是18世纪末19世纪初非常著名的法国皇家建筑师，波尔多有很多著名庄园都是由他设计建造的，如：玛戈酒庄（Château Margaux），布怡庄园(Château du Bouilh)。当然最具代表性的建筑是其 1780 年设计完成的波尔多的皇家大剧院（Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux），当时因设计大剧院还获得了“罗马大奖”。维克多路易的著名作品还包括巴黎的皇家宫殿和法兰西剧院等。

Château Milord stands on the prime limestone-clay slopes of the village of Grézillac, just 15 kilometers from the historic town of Saint-Émilion. In the mid-18th century, the estate's first owners—descendants of the Bourbon dynasty who had settled in Bordeaux—commissioned the renowned architect Victor Louis to design and build the château in Grézillac.

The structure was designed and built in 1763 by Victor Louis, a master of Neoclassical architecture, when he was 42 years old. Louis was a celebrated French royal architect of the late 18th and early 19th centuries, responsible for designing numerous famous Bordeaux estates, such as Château Margaux and Château du Bouilh. His most iconic work, however, is the Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, completed in 1780—a project that earned him the prestigious *Prix de Rome*. Other notable works by Victor Louis include the Palais-Royal and the Comédie-Française in Paris.

米罗堡在二战后，几经易手后被 Large 先生家族所将拥有。然而在 2013 年， 近半个世纪后，Large 先生家族将占地 44 公顷的家业出售给了香港的 Edwin Cheung 先生。 张先生自 80 年代起就已经开始收藏珍贵的红酒了，现在他拥有超过一万多支顶级酒庄的稀世佳酿，并于 1995 成为波尔多名酒协会(COMMANDERIE DE BORDEAUX)会员，而他对葡萄酒的酿造和品鉴都有深厚的认识。一次偶然机会下喝到了米罗堡的葡萄酒，并且得知前任庄主因为没有子女继承有打算出售的消息时，张先生立即对米罗堡进行了专业的土壤分析以及邀请了专业的葡萄酒品鉴师对葡萄酒做了更为专业及深入的分析，分析的结果也让团队及张先生非常满意，之后迅速的收购了此庄园，更是邀请了在波尔多当地久负盛名的 Stéphane Apelbaum先生担当酒庄的总经理和酿酒师。

After changing hands several times following World War II, Château Milord came into the possession of the Large family. However, in 2013—after nearly half a century of ownership—the Large family sold the 44-hectare estate to Mr. Edwin Cheung from Hong Kong. Mr. Cheung had been collecting fine wines since the 1980s and possessed a collection of over 10,000 rare vintages from top estates; he became a member of the *Commanderie de Bordeaux* in 1995 and possesses deep expertise in both winemaking and tasting. After tasting a wine from Château Mirault by chance and learning that the previous owner intended to sell due to the lack of an heir, Mr. Cheung immediately commissioned a professional soil analysis and engaged experts to conduct an in-depth evaluation of the wines. Highly satisfied with the results, he quickly acquired the estate and appointed the renowned Bordeaux-based Stéphane Apelbaum as the winery's General Manager and Winemaker.
